This match will be remembered the way the umpires behaved, the way Aussies played and also the way both umpires and Aussies made the Indian team handicap and ban imposed on Harbajan singh with out any proof. Indian cricket team decided to cancel the trip if Steve Bucknor would continue to be the umpire for rest of the series and the ban imposed on Harbajan Singh by ICC till not taken back. And finally ICC replaced Steve Bucknor, lifted the ban n Bajji for time being and also CA(cricket Australia) to ask ponting and his men to behave properly while playing cricket. Although the Indian cricket team might have lost the Sydney test, but what i feel is they have gained a moral victory over the Aussies. Almost entire world is now criticizing Ricky ponting and Co. for the way they played in Sydney test.
Frankly speaking Aussies never expected India to play that well after losing the first test match so badly. And when they realized that they are not able to beat India and also umpires decisions going against India they decided to win this match by cheating. They started appealing for almost every thing. Even after playing the game in such a bad way they claim that they have played the game in the right spirit.
Another reason for which this match will be remembered is the way the umpires behaved in the field. In this match 8 decisions went against India and 1 or 2 against Australia. Both Steve Bucknor and Mark Benson were making wrong decisions and when ever doubtful instead of referring to third umpire was referring it to Ricky ponting which might never have happened in the history of the game.
